Team Members

Pat Barrett

Pat started his career with Occidental Life (Transamerica), in Miami, Florida, after attending the University of Miami on a football scholarship. He later transferred to his home state of California and continued his career. After working for several other companies, including  Blue Cross of California, PCS, Inc, and American Insurance Managers (AIM), he founded Medical Stop Loss Marketing, Inc., dba MSLM Insurance Marketing in 1999. It was Pat’s goal to make the marketing process easy and economical for brokers, third party administrators and consultants.

 Roger LaPierre

Roger started his insurance career with Pacific Mutual in Dallas, Texas as a Group Marketing Representative. Roger moved from there to become the Vice President of Group with Midwest National Life. After several successful years he moved to Life of the Southwest, Dallas, Texas as Senior Vice President of Group Operations. He then joined American Insurance Managers as Regional Marketing Representative. Roger joined Medical Stop Loss Marketing in 2001.

Denny Bush

Denny started his insurance career in Phoenix after moving from Ohio where he was a teacher and a coach.  He brings 25+ years experience to MSLM in all phases of group insurance, including fully insured medical, ancillary coverages, pharmaceutical card, and self-insured stop loss business. Denny has held Regional Marketing Director positions with INA, Transamerica Occidental Life, PCS, American Insurance Managers, and Canada Life. He joined Medical Stop Loss Marketing in 2005.

Brad Pitts

As our newest addition to MSLM, Brad started his career with Transamerica Occidental Life in Atlanta, Georgia.  He continued his career as Vice President with a brokerage company, successfully developing and marketing a line of multi-employer trust products.  He moved to Manulife Financial, marketing medical stop loss and ancillary line products (Life, Voluntary Life, LTD).  In 1990, following an opportunity to be part of a start-up PBM, Brad co-founded BeneScript Services. He succeeded in bringing the company to national prominence prior to its sale in 2008. Brad joined Medical Stop Loss Marketing in 2009.
